If this is successful I plan to have more cards printed and possibly in time stock other Pagan Artists work.

New Scottish Christmas and Yule cards

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

You may not know this but my name Gillean, is not Gillian with an e but a variation of McLean my mother’s maiden name and I always liked the tartan so I thought I’d a Christmas card with it on.

I have toyed with doing other images and tartans so let me know if you’re interested – as always my creativity outweighs my time but I will have a go.

Dreamcatcher inspirational card

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

The dreamcatcher is my most popular image on istock and I thought it would make a nice inspirational card, so I added a starry background and a nice little verse – let me know what you think.

This image is also available on Zazzle and Cafepress

New Thank you for being my Flowergirl Card

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

After creating my blonde bridesmaid I thought I would have a go at a variation so I did a black one although giving it tags has been interesting. In the UK we use the term black but in the US they want to use the term African American which fine if you are American but not if you are British. Many of the black people in this country are of Afro-Caribbean descent so Anglo African doesn’t really work. It caused an interesting debate on the forums for Greetings Card Universe. If you’d like to give your opinion on what the pc term is now please feel free to comment.

This card is available as Please be my Bridesmaid/Flowergirl and Thank you for being my Bridesmaid/Flowergirl – to purchase it please click on the image. The image is not available on istock as they rejected it – so :P to them. If you would like a vector of this image, please contact me and I will create a bespoke one for you.

Latest Card, Please be my bridesmaid

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

One of the things you are able to do on greetingcarduniverse is check for what key words customers are searching for and one phrase that appears frequently in the summer months, is “will you be my bridesmaid?”  I think this is more of an American thing than a UK thing but I’ve never really drawn people so I thought I would give it a go.

Please be my bridesmaid card

I’ve tried to add some cross cultural and pagan elements with the daisies and ivy and am currently working on a different version of the girl.  This card is also available as a Flower girl invitation and for both bridesmaid and flowergirl thank yous.

As always when I create an image like this I look at istock and was surprised at how few bridesmaid vectors there are, so this was submitted and accepted by them.  You can buy it from istock to create your own cards, although if you want to sell them you will have to buy an extended licence.
